iCal to CSV converter
Not a rename. This iCal to CSV converter unfolds RFC 5545 lines, reads VEVENT and VTODO, keeps TZID and all-day DATE, expands RRULE for the next N times, then gives Excel-safe UTF-8 BOM CSV. Nothing is uploaded.
ICS · iCal · 2MB
Drop a calendar file or paste it below.
⌘V / Ctrl+V to paste an ICS.
Repeating events
Expand RRULE into the next N rows so a Monday standup lands as many spreadsheet lines. Off keeps one rule row.

How it works
An iCal to CSV converter is what people open when Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar exported an .ics and a spreadsheet, CRM, or payroll sheet wants rows. Renaming the file does not parse VEVENT. This page stays in the tab.
- Drop or paste ICS —
.icsor.ical, up to 2MB. Folded RFC 5545 lines (a space on the next line) are joined before parse. Nothing is uploaded. - Read the calendar — each
VEVENTbecomes a row. OptionalVTODOrows keep due dates.SUMMARY,DTSTART,DTENDorDURATION,TZID, all-dayVALUE=DATE,LOCATION,DESCRIPTION,STATUS,UID, andORGANIZERare mapped. - Expand RRULE — a weekly standup is not one mystery string. Turn on expand and the next 12, 26, or 52 occurrences become extra CSV rows. Off keeps the rule in an
rrulecolumn. - Download Excel-safe CSV — UTF-8 BOM so Excel does not mojibake titles, RFC 4180 quotes for commas and line breaks. Copy the same bytes. Last paste and options stay in this browser only.
This is not a generic text dump and not a cloud calendar login. The product is an iCal to CSV converter that understands timezones and repeats.
FAQ
Is .ics the same as iCal?
Yes. iCalendar (RFC 5545) files usually use .ics. Outlook, Google Calendar, and Apple Calendar all export this. This iCal to CSV converter reads that text in the browser.
Why expand RRULE?
A spreadsheet cannot evaluate FREQ=WEEKLY;BYDAY=MO. Expand writes the next N start times as real rows so a filter or pivot works. The original rule stays in the rrule column.
Do you upload my calendar?
No. Unfold, parse, RRULE expand, and CSV encode all run in the tab. Close it and the events are gone.
What about timezones?
TZID=America/New_York is kept as a column. Z stamps are labeled UTC. All-day DATE values have no clock and no timezone. We do not invent offsets we cannot prove without a tz database.
Why did a huge calendar stop at 2000 rows?
A multi-year daily RRULE can explode. The converter caps at 2000 rows so the tab stays usable. Lower the expand count or turn expand off.
